Flank steaks grilling


These are couple flank steaks that I grilled a few weekends ago at my sister's. I really miss grilling in the city! This was the best steak I've had so far this year.

Did you cut w/ or against the grain? With flank steak I think you're supposed to cut against right? Can't remember what Alton Brown said.

Also..those pieces look too medium for the Iron Stomach! He likes 'em rare!

cut against. the flank is a tougher cut, but still mighty tasty, so against the grains makes for easier chewing.

yeh, this was medium-rare to medium. i was cooking for some guests, so had to make them agreeable to others
